How fast is travel? Is energy use equal to size or a flat rate? Is travel faster once we have set up the proper machinery on the other side? Sorry about the questions, but it helps me think of a plan.

It's currently fast enough to get us to AC in a few months but we hope to increase the speed soon enough. Energy use has to do with how far you travel.I don't understand the last question, please answer it a bit more clearly. I think you're asking if its a machine we use here to get to FTL and if it's faster if we set that up at the destination, but no the machinery is on the ship itself, it's engines.
