turning off invasions
« on: April 06, 2011, 09:36:55 pm »

I can do it no problem, but I would like to know if it turns off thieves, snatchers, and ambushes as well. It's not very dwarfy, but there is something I want to try, and it would be quicker with no distractions.

Yes it does. It also turns off megabeasts, titans, and IIRC Forgotten Beasts as well.

It does not turn off things like cave dragons. Just a heads up. It turns off titans, megabeasts, thieves, ambushers.. etc. Anything with a name WILL NOT come on the map, hence why CD's will still appear.

However, if the CD has a name, it will still appear, I believe.

You do not understand the ways of Toady One. He is not a business, he's just a guy trying to make a fun game. He's invited people to come along and experience the journey with him (and help him test it out as he goes along). At the end of the day, I don't think his main goal is to sell Dwarf Fortress, its just to create the best game possible.

Cave dragons are in the raws. Titans, megabeasts, etc, aren't in the raws.

Some creatures in the raws are marked as [MEGABEAST].

There is only one cat, and all cats are that cat.
Almost losing is sometimes fun.

I suppose I can afford a small skeletal military.
