I can import them.

Bwa?  I thought horn silver was an ore not a rock.

I can also get casterite, native silver, galena, sphalerite, and bismuthinite.

Aren't ores pretty much treated like rocks if you enable them in the Stones screen? Meaning, you could make blocks out of ores if you wanted to, so I think being able to import them is normal.

Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Nice.

It also comes to my attention that this same civ can trade me steel, yet can't trade me flux of any kind.

Not a bug.
Incidentally, if you're short on trade goods, enabling use of an ore (magnetite works well) and using it for stonecrafting will get you a load of very expensive goods very quickly. In my current game I had over 10k worth of goods to trade by the time the first dwarven traders arrived, using a Proficient Stone Crafter on magnetite.

Yep, ore rocks hold the same value modifier as the metal that's extracted from them.  For instance, a native gold nugget craft will be worth just as much as a craft made using a gold bar.

Very handy if you're playing as meso-dwarficans.

Probably because native gold is just that, gold. It just hasn't been smelted or refined. I'd personally lower the native gold value to 28 or something, versus 30 for pure gold.

Hmm, just checked the values of the other metals, and it would appear that while quite a few retain the values of the base ore (nickel, zinc, copper), some are higher (iron ore = 8, iron bar = 10).  Silver in particular has some interesting values, as both native nuggets and horn silver have the same value as the smelted product, galena and tetrahedrite have lower values.  Galena has half the value of smelted silver, but it also only provides half a silver bar on smelting.  Tetrahedrite has a value of 3, even though it only gives 20% of a bar.

Does anyone else just use tetrahedrite for making billon?  That's all I've ever done with it.
