I think you should be able to remove them by gathering. Select d->p "Gather Plants", then designate the plants and any Dwarf with the Herbalist skill will start collecting them.

In one fort, I modded minotaurs to be tamable and made one of them mayor by chaining him in the dining hall.

Why is your dining room in soil ? Make a proper, engraved dining room in stone !

I caught OCD from Minecraft and I can't bear walls that don't match. It looks terrible, at least digging through clay the wall are the same, I can deal with building stone floors.

All of you are wrong. All of you.

The best way to remove the fungus buildup is to make sure your dining room is connected to the fortress-wide magma plumbing system (you do have a fortress-wide magma plumbing system, right?) and periodically empty the room and seal the doors. Then, flood the room with magma for a few seconds and speed drain it. All the magma-safe furniture will be spared, while the cave fungus will be either completely obliterated or rapidly burning away.

Once the projected casualty levels for reopening the room fall under 5% of your fortress population, you may unlock the doors and enjoy a fungus-free dining room for a while longer.

*Not counting nobles.

Fixed that for you.

I wonder if you test your answers before you reply. You can't build floor on fungus. Animals doesn't work aswell i have 3 grazers on 11x11 square and fungi are growing faster then they eat.

Anybody have some other ideas?

11x11 is too big for 3 non-elephant grazers (seriously, elephants eat so much they cannot sate themselves). And yes, you can 'C'onstruct floors on cave fungi, the equivalent of aboveground grass.

Those big shrooms in your picture, those aren't your normal fungus.

Those are the size of trees. Get rid of them first.
