Right. Everyone's always talking about badgers, right, and I have so far not encountered any, as my fort was started in .19.
This makes me sad.
The other thing people are always talking about is Fortress Defence. I haven't tried it, which also makes me sad.

So I'm going to rectify both these problems at once, 'two dwarves with one stone' if you like.

I'm going to download Fortress Defence.

And mod badger-people as a civ.

And give them giant-badgers to ride into battle.

Genius, right???!!1?

Hrm. Well, I think I did most of that right, when I get back to my computer I'll get to work on making them ride giant badgers... Any tips on how to make that work would be appreciated.

No idea how to make that happen but take screenshots when ya do.  I want to see a grown dwarf cry in the face of the badger-pocalypse.

Add [PET] and not [PET: EXOTIC]. Also, I think [TRAINABLE: WAR] makes them usable as mounts. Check other mount raws to be certain.

Use [MOUNT]

The goblins use [MOUNT_EXOTIC]

Trainable as hunting or war animals. War bears and such.
