You all keep moving, but the slap is futile, as you can barely catch up to him and he saw it coming.

It is now night, you will be very unlikely to spot anything or hit anything with a ranged weapon.

Keep moving despite being unable to see or hit anything while you have a broken leg? While your team is burdened by you? Lighting a torch or any other illumination will get us spotted and killed. We are few and therefore cannot afford to be discovered while the Soviets, in their larger numbers, can. (I'm just pointing out the flaws in this course of action.)

Hmmm, and the cold might get to you as well. It may be best to make a hidden shelter and a hidden fire, if only to stave off the cold and try to treat your wound.

Well, he IS wearing a winterized uniform. I suppose that would keep out the cold. Besides, walking all night will not reduce the cold anyway. But yeah, a hidden fire would be good. If only fires could be, you know, hidden.  ::)

But yeah, it's a good idea. If you hide in a cave, do not forget that you could die of carbon monoxide poisoning (or something) from your fire if you don't make a makeshift chimney in your cave. Although I'm thinking that the flame would be small for it to be hidden.
