More ideas:

1) Naming patterns should be moved into the raws.  Epithet patterns/requirements too.

2) Have the ability/option for symbols besides just those found in the language raws.  This should let you have patterns such as <father's_name>son, or Mc<family/group name>.  Also one could have a completely separate language raw for names if one desired.

3) Give us the ability to have different naming patterns based on cast, so we can have different pools of names for male and females.  Probably would need groupings for MASCULINE and FEMININE in the language raws.

So long as those are the defaults (like material templates) and not hardcoded associations (like word symbolism*). Why limit names to two categories?

*although you could essentially create your own category by merging two others and using the freed one for your own word list.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.
