I approve of any setup that isn't a wolver hat because I hate that thing. But mercurial helm looks particularly good with wolver coat.

I have a cobalt helm with my ash tail coat, so maybe look at that too if you have one hangin around.

Mercurial has spikes, so I'm guessing that's Quicksilver.

(I love my Mercurial set.)

Quicksilver, yeah. I haven't been on in a while, my bad. :P

Also uhhh that calculator we were workin on a while back now has a few new features, you can generate an XML file from your arsenal, and it now has a crowns to CE calender. You have to plug in the CE value.

Have a link to the calculator itself so I can stop pestering you nice people. All the bugs and typos should be ironed out too, thanks to the folks in the spiral knights forum thread.

Give it a shot if you need to make a FSC set or are just getting started or whatever!

It's awesome having a 5 button mouse. I only even need 3 of them to play casually!

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.

How many of you have fought Vanaduke? I've killed him three times so far - I don't always have a good team - using DA, Gigawatt/Polaris, Leviathan, Barbarous/Dark Thorn Blade, Shivermist, Strike/Blitz Needle. But even when I get the team together, there's lots of CE revives involved (about twice for everyone).

It kind of feels like you've beat a super difficulty arcade game at highest difficulty... but with a stack of coins two meters tall. Everything's fine in FSC, we enter the boss fight with full pills. Everything's fine before the last phase... zombies are killed, Vana frozen and needles firing. But once the slag guards appear, everything goes to hell. Unavoidably we get charged, clubbed and burned.

I know solo + no revive is possible - I've seen the vids. For solo I've only done FSC 1 with left over mist, no revive needed but had to use some pills. I don't think I'm ready to go further down by myself.

How are your fights against Vana? Got any tips to make the last stage easier?

Convinced a couple of friends to try this out. Downloading it right now, on Steam though.

Developer Nick talks about the upcoming Mission System...

Seems pretty interesting, but the Supply Depot might deeply hurt the recipe market, which is one of the precious crown sinks.

they're doing the beta testing for the mission system now. If you bought somethin that cost 9.95 or higher within the last 30 days, you should have access.

Huh... Apparently I stopped keeping up with the changes to this a little bit ago. The mission system might actually bring me back for a while. I think I spent 10 or 20 bucks at one point, I'll have to check this weekend.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

You need to spend during the last 30 days to enter the testing server...
