For crying out loud, just use Runesmith to make the enemies attacking him have all the bad flags. Then make him have good flags. It won't bring back the dead, but it can keep a dorf alive halfway through the lava sea.

He had trouble using Runesmith earlier, hence his new attempt.

I'm not good at this modding business, I tried copying the dwarf raws, and just editing parts of them, but I'm not really up with what to change. I tried giving him scales and making his flesh out of metal, but I haven't really tried modding creatures before. Perhaps I should make a thread in the modding forum?
And I couldn't get DF to switch him to the new Mechadwarf race, either.

In DF souls are harvested from the skulls of Elves. Elves don't have souls, it's just that Elf skulls are comfy for the souls.

EDIT: Also, have you read the description? This guy deserves a harem of five thousand dwarven, elven, human and goblin women. Get to work on that, Yoink.

I don't feel that save scumming is particular dwarven while accepting the honorable sacrifice of a dwarf is not. Especially when so much energy is wasted that could have otherwise gone into brewing booze or digging deep.

The elf is you, with your pityful attempts to cling on life. What's next? Eating the dwarf's corpse so he can keep on living inside you? Disgusting.
