Crawling along

Is this a bug? My adventurer was hopping along at speed:1000 before the battle... now I'm at 327 and it doesn't matter if I stand or crawl. I haven't suffered any injuries. I tried stripping off all my clothes and dropping my inventory. I won't go above 330. I have high agility... what gives?

Have you tried standing up?
Nevermind, missed some words in your post.

It wasn't a display glitch. The next bandit I encountered slaughtered me without a snowball's chance in...

I'll nab a save if I can reproduce the problem.

Are you sneaking?

I don't think losing guts actually kills you, you just throw up and pass out and bleed to death.
This was supposed to be a cool upgrade. All I got was more hostile zombies.

Did you pick up a crutch at any point?

Yes. For my *first aid kit*, in case I need it. But I never lost a leg, and dropping it didn't restore my speed.

Did you drop it from your hands? There's a bug that makes you equip the crutch and it gets stuck as equipped if you put it in your bag, even if you.
drop it from there it stays, you need to drop it from your hands.

Unless that's been fixed that's the only explanation I can think of

Well if that's the case; take joy in the fact that you will not be affected speed-wise by the loss of a leg when it occurs. :P

You can verify it if you're gaining crutch-walker skill or not. Eventually you'd become legendary and be back up to speed.

Bronze (-colossus) blobs and forgotten beast corpses tend to be ridiculously heavy and slow you down to a crawl... You did not by accident pick one up, did you?
