I could, but I already have a dead kingdra named Eberron.

Ahh, I see, in that case I'll propose Argonnessen, I have a bit of a love affair with Eberron... Not the kingdra, that'd be weird in so many ways.

Ooh, that could be neat. Argonnessen, Khorvaire, and Sarlona are all names that fit. I'll put up a poll when I get back from this track meet.

Khorvaire sounds good.

Mah poll! It is broke'd! Anyone know how to allow voting? I've already tried locking and unlocking voting.

In the meantime, I will roll a d20 and pick some names that way. Update is once more in progress.

Hey, is trading for an egg or pokemon allowed? I just pulled my spiffy new Black version out of its case, and my brother wants to trade me Ponyard or whatever it is.

I personally didn't trade for my run through of Ruby. It made the game that much more challenging to have to use only what is given to you. If you must do so, I recommend a two-for-one ratio. For every Pokemon you trade in, you could give one away and box another. The way I did it I had to work fairly hard to keep a balanced-ish team going. In this particular run I'm just foregoing capturing Pokemon for a while because I'm transferring the eggs of the survivors of my last game. I'll probably only start catching wild Pokemon after the first gym, depending on where that is.

Update in progress. Bismark be warned.

If I trade a version exclusive, gotten first time in a route, for another version exclusive, should I still do the 2-1 thing?

Ideally, it's up to you. Although the traded poke will level a bit faster.

Well, I want to do the MANGRIT challenge right, so I may as well find out when the rules unspecified in the OP.

Your poll's end date is set in the past, think that's why no one can vote.

Honestly, I hadn't even taken it into consideration. If you really want an outside opinion, I'd say don't trade. I personally tried to make my challenge as hard as I could while still being possible, and having a Pokemon that levels up twice as fast as any other might break that.

Spoiler: Enter Sinnoh (click to show/hide)
I've got a few more updates all pictured-up, I'm just writing dialog. Stay tuned.

PS: How's it going so far? Would you mind too much if I scaled back the dialogue in the future? (For updates with more action, anyway.) Is it enjoyable?
