Quite excellent epic. Easily the best (and I don't consider it "sacrilege" to say it's better than Boatmurdered, but that's only because BM was written by too many cooks with different agendas).

Bronzemurder and Oilfurnace had already conquered Boatmurdered crown, though Sankis & Co. will always have their place as it was by them that so many people got to know DF.

I love Boatmurdered, and I understand why people like to compare all the different Dwarf Fortress stories (because it's fun, and we all have preferences), but I think the differences between Boatmurdered, Oilfurnace, Bravemule, and Gemclod are all so dramatic that I don't think the existence of any one of them makes the others inferior, since they're all trying to accomplish different goals. Boatmurdered and Gemclod perhaps have more in common than the others, but they're still wildly different.

I think my personal favorite is Oilfurnace because I can use it to explain Dwarf Fortress to people (and therefore explain what Bravemule is to my friends), while the others are all specifically for people who like Dwarf Fortress. I made Bravemule more accessible in some ways with the Stonesense and all, but both the writing style and the concept of the project are difficult to understand. My favorite as a Dwarf Fortress fan is Gemclod, though.

Sad to see it end, but great to see it concluded.  Like any good story it leaves the reader wanting more.  Cheers.

Well my favorite now is certainly Matul Remrit, and nothing short of a full Dwarf Fortress animation will steal Bravemule's place. I feel that you didn't get enough praise from here, for all your work and for all that you are giving back for the game and Bay12. Thank you!
