A very enjoyable read, if a tad difficult to understand. Alas, I cannot wrap my head around the fact that Dwarves seem to have an innate fear of punctuation! Mostly the dreaded commas, I feel for the poor, bearded bastards.

I will most assuredly bookmark this web-page!
Commas, contraction, and apostrophes, man. They're just not very dwarven. The present and past progressive tenses, either.

Very enjoyable reading - the writing style is unique but very evocative, once you get the hang of it.

DF sets out a challenge to us with no explanation and no assistance, and each time we fail it becomes more merciless, but we continue in the hopes that we can show it, "See?  I'm doing good, right?  I kept the little men alive!  You're proud of me, right?"

This is somewhat similar to a thing I did for a short while, long long ago, in before-times. I'm glad to see someone else had the same idea and much better artistic sense!

He once spent a week visiting a cave in which there lived seven giants.  Each day, he would come in, track down each of the giants, and beat it to the point of unconsciousness.

What happened in Matul Remrit between 1052 and 1054? The 1053 section is actually things that happened somewhere else in 1050?

Yeah, 1053: Interlude is a flashback that takes place before the story starts. 1053 itself isn't shown; the story just skips past it. 1054: Granite and Slate are written so that you can infer what happened in 1053 (really: not much, which is why it was skipped - bravemule became more powerful and more wealthy, the third migrant wave showed up, some small skirmishes with goblins and humans happened that injured a lot of the militia, but the battles in 1054 are more interesting so even those weren't worth showing). Showing the relatively boring, conflictless 1053 would have murdered the pacing of the story.

What do these guys have against elves? It's like they think every wild creature is part of a conspiracy theory.
