Well I failed, partially due to real life distractions like my birthday. I have however in these 7 days written some lovely code, which is vastly better than AsciiMan's current code.

Happy birthday :)

Holy hell. So, I played Mad Mage and I loved it. I spent more time exploring than anything else, and without using a single spell, I found my... past self and killed me. Lolwat. Awesome game, 5 stars, would am going to play again, all that jazz :D

I guess this belongs here, no sense bumping the March thread in April.

Spent twenty minutes trying to fix a function, going over every line of code, and then realized that the "bug" was me forgetting to call the function. *sigh*

Well, well. It seems I bit off more than I could chew. Realm of Nazgod crashes whenever it calls the monster movement function, and I don't nearly have all the content included that I wanted to by the end of my seven days.

I'll probably be back to try again next month. For now, I'll keep working on RoZ, maybe post it here on the forum when its fun enough.

Bye for now!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Hey, thanks for the positive review.  This monthly 7drl thing has really caught on, and it's fun playing everybody's games.  I made a bugfix for mad mage but haven't gotten around to releasing it yet.  I'll put it online just in case people are interested.

In the meantime, I can't wait to see all of what comes out of the April entries.

Yeah, I finally gave Ultra Pals a try and I enjoyed it!  Died the first time, was unstoppable the second, then replayed again just to see more names.

Well, I consider this a failure, but here it is anyway.

FWIW, it looks nice. What ever "it" is. Keys? Manual? Purpose? Anything?

The field of view and water is pretty sweet.  If I walk to far into the water I either drown or crash(not sure which).

I figured out how to build barricades, walls and pit-traps.  Is there anything else I can do?  :)

You can build? Cool! I once got attacked by a ? ? ? with claws. And then eventually died/crashed as well.

Mysterious game is mysterious.

Are there any good roguelike libraries for Java? Because I'd need a week just to make an engine with interface/grids/display/objects, at least. And i don't really know any C-variants.
