That's okay, it's the generation that counts :)

Is it true that the same two villains are recurring villains?

In theory all the villains should be recurring.  You have a villain pool that starts off with two villains.  Every two or three missions it generates a new(and slightly stronger) villain to the pool.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

So uh, I never did get started, kept waiting for a good opportunity and always had something to do.  Dad's birthday for one thing.
But those are just excuses, everyone has obligations, and Portal 2 comes out on the 19th.  So I'm starting for real this time because I'm not going to work on this after Portal 2 comes out  ;D

Good luck.  I started early just because of Portal 2 as well.  :)

That game should really be titled "Portal 2: All Your Productivity Are Belong To Us."

Yeah, the gameplay is really lacking.

Then how come I can't stop playing?! This is pretty much fantastic. Are you planning to keep working on it at all?

Tech Junkie is awesome once he can summon 5-6 robots. I call them the Firing Squad. Also, Lady Legs is a really bad tank but apparently she doesn't know that. :P

Hehe.  I should have given her a bit better AI or given her some more armor to compensate for the fact that she's always the first one to get ganged up on.  Glad you like it.  :)

I haven't really decided if I'm going to do anything else with it.  There is still a lot that I could do to flesh it out more so maybe I'll think about it.

I usually send LL way back to get the gunners. She does not respond well to "defend location".

Anyhow, the first battle is arguably the hardest. It just gets easier from there.

I won't be able to work on my roguelike at all tomorrow (on what would be my seventh day of developement) so I'm going to move my seventh day to Saturday. I mean, I guess that technically violates the whole point of a 7drl... so I'll be appeasing the 7drl gods with an offering of screenshots!

Pictures Ahoy!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I should be able to (mostly) finish the basic components of the game with another day of solid work. I'll be posting whatever I have on Saturday. I may even continue working on this, I've had a lot of fun with it so far  :P

Hey look, it's a starting post! It took me three months, but I finally got an idea from one of my own themes. ;D

I'm more intrigued by the name than the screenshot strangely.  :)

I have started.

My game will be a crime-based roguelike much like the hoax that was around several months ago, and, indeed, plan on implementing many of its features.

The theme will be worked in thusly: Every character will be wholly randomly generated and will have as many facets to a real person I can implement randomly. This includes dress codes, personalities, likes/dislikes, family and relationships, etc.

Wish me luck.

Well I failed, partially due to real life distractions like my birthday. I have however in these 7 days written some lovely code, which is vastly better than AsciiMan's current code.
