Fire, Ballista Arrows, and Thrown Lignite

Fire a ballista through a lot of fire or magma.
Or fire a catapult using Lingite or Coal.
PROFIT!

Why the hell not.
...maybe because I'm yet to build a magma pumpstack. Still, idea's great, I've got to try sometime...

it should work, I don't see why not.
Also, fire bimumous coal/lingite out of a catapult. probably same effect, if not better (ballista arrows burn quickly, while coal takes about a year).

What about also using a waterfall to douse them before they burn up?

Ballista - Magma fall - Danger area - Water fall - Drop - Wall

I have the perfect fort to test this on...

It already has a 80 tile long corridor with 3 ballista batteries at the end. The parts are masterwork and I have 5 legendary operators above. The best part is there is a volcano right there!
