Looking for a good, small, RPG game! (Preferences in topic post!)

I have been playing The Unreal World for a bit, and I really enjoy the survival part of it, but I realize it doesn't have a lot of content in that field. So I'm looking for other games with the same weapon crafting, survival, construction type of game play to it. Much like adventure mode in DF but with more weapon crafting, forging, mining, smithing, survival, and just an all out epic RPG game play. I always like being able to forge my own weapons in games instead of just finding them, and I really like being able to mine. Maybe my family tree goes down to dwarves. :)

Sadly this is a fairly neglected genre.  Survival kids for original gameboy is ok.

I don't know about the first one, but Stranded II is certainly a fun way to spend several hours.  Its content is also lacking, but at least it's different content from UW.  :P

Played both Stranded's. Lacking content in a really bad way, but it was fun for a bit.

You could try Notrium, though it's probably not what you're after.  It's a hybrid of survival and top-down shooter.

Haven and Hearth is an excellent game. Though doesn't fit a few things I want. But I still play it. Haven't gotten the hang of it yet.

Its more RPG and less crafty, but Arcanum has some great crafting/skill trees.  Caves of Qud is also a bit crafty/survival, but that is more of the 'somethings gonna kill me' survival than starvation issues

I'd suggest Stranded 2 with massive mod.
It adds so much shit that I don't even remember it anymore.
