That would suck.
If we go Brittanians I'm calling right here and now atleast one group of Head Hurlers, hopefully more than that but eh.
They don't exactly have alot of range but their ammo goes through armor and it scares the shit out of the enemy.

If only these units actually existed in antiquity...  :P

Come to think of it, an XTREME Rome mod may be in order, with huge spiked chariots carrying an entire squad of soldiers driven by a giant black horse with red eyes, roman legionairies that can never, ever rout, hoplites which are impossible to kill in melee but totally immobile when phalanxed, horses that knock people across entire cities with their charge, etc.

I'd say that even if Karl considered modding the game (and he doesn't) SPQR would be the only mod that only adds, never removes. Battles in SPQR are massive!

At any rate. If any of your un-assigned captains will be added to the "family" as a general. I'd like to be one of them. I'm not sure if you use that tactic though. I tend to crash powerless rebels with a single cavalry unit, just to receive another general here and there, but you might consider this cheesy.

I've tried SPQR, it isn't for me, the whole Auxillia  system is just... no... I haven't found a mod I like yet, and  i've tried them all.

You can have The first born son.(Excluding already born sons)

When you finally reach the point where you'll attack Greece, grant me one of the generals that participates in the attack. (If you haven't noticed already, I'm doing a Greece:Total War Let's Play.)

I'm ending the voting and starting up the game.

Britannia it is.

Will post screenshots every 3 turns.

Well, this sucks. I figured out why the game was crashing to windows. Apparently I can't edit the .txt file for descr_strat, thus rendering me incapable of playing as Brittania. If you guys want I can play as the Julii, I wish I could play Briton but for some odd reason steam doesn't like when I mess with game files.

Damn. You could just cheat to win a short game to unlock every faction.

True, if you're willing to wait awhile i'll do that.

I don't mind waiting, but others might. Cheating just to unlock factions doesn't take long, esspecially if you use the one that lets you move units practicly across the map and Auto Win .

I know it doesn't take that long, but I've been up for 35 hours straight and I need some rest, I was going to do the first set then log off, but I guess i'll take a quick nap and come back.

You are far to dedicated.

I think we need a thread for recommendations on how to run an LP.

We're used to waiting long periods of time with few updates. It's fine.

Also, I'll totally take a unit of Chariots.

I'm not talking about the Greek faction, but Greece, the piece of land jutting out into the Mediterranean. When we are going to conquer it, give me one of the generals that does so.

(I can also wait patiently for you to cheat your way to unlock factions.)
