Too late, they noticed you! You start to run, but a bullet manages to snag you on the tail.

The tail is also the most sensitive part of the Aumi body.

You fall over in pain, and as you fall, another bullet gets you in the chest. You think you are dead for sure.

However, a man you cannot make out breaks into the mall and fires an assault rifle into the cops, causing most of them to get ripped to peices and one to run in obvious fear. The man runs over to you, and says:

"Damn it, Leo, you had me worried! Come on, lets get out of here!"

[Taricus]

Get up and follow our friend.

You stand up, with some pain, and suddenly grab your chest. Your friend, whos name escapes you at the moment, rushes to your aid.
"Let me help you out, you look bad."
He helps you walk over to his van, where another person who you do not reconize with another assault rifle is waving to you.
"Hired gun, now come on!", he explains, while shoving you into the back of the van.

[Taricus]

Rest for a bit.

You put your head on the side of the van, and close your eyes just as the van starts to move...

The back of the van opens, and your friend comes out.
"Were here." he says to you.
You painfully come out of the van to find it is night now. You apper to be at some kind of abandoned car station in the middle of a town.
"Where are we?" you ask with a certain dizzyness.
"Guethary, France."
He gets you from the van and brings you the car station. He gives the Mercenary what seems like a few hundred dollars, and he drives off in the van.

[Taricus]

"What do we do here?"

Your friend (You really need to remember his name) looks at you with confusion.
"Did you hit your head when you fell? This is just another temporary safehouse before we move on. And damn, I told you we should've moved the day before, now look at you!"

[Taricus]

((We'll let you think of that.))

Nod, then follow him. Also remember his name.

You get out of the van and limp toward the building.

You start to rank your memories for a bit and remember who he was.

His name was Galen. You met him only a few months after your real parents. You were in a quite fatal situation, and he came and pulled you out of it. You owe him your life.

Apartantly, he had a grudge aganist the man you were after too, and so you two decided to help out each other. He has been mostly nice and understanding, and someone to try and clam you down in your fits of anger. _{(Hes also the guy you get most of your booze money off of, but some things are better left unsaid.)} You'd have idea what you would do without him.

You enter the car station. It looks like it was a shop at one point. There are some bedrolls on the floor and food lines the stands. What do you do?

Ask Galen for some work.

You ask Galen if there is anything worth doing, but shakes his head and says,
"In your condition? You have a bullet stuck in your chest, and your tail. You'd never be able to do your job."
And you must agree. Its currently immpossible to do anything in your state at the moment. Except talk, that is.
"You should rest while I try and get the bullets out... they can't stay in there forever."

(( This is really a stage to ask questions. ))

Let him take the bullets out. And ask for some body armour.
