Crutches in Adventurer mode?

Where are they? Are they anywhere? Will my guy just have to crawl around everywhere after having acquired a terribly manly leg scar?

You can buy them in general shops and they sometimes appear in the middle of bandit camps. They do work, but you'll be slow until your crutch-walker skill gets higher.

How do I find one? I've never seen one... anywhere!

You could always use the crutches as bait to draw in beavers, then kick them
