Google Motion!
« on: April 01, 2011, 10:28:07 am »

Google's coming out with a new feature for GMail, a neat technology that lets you use your built in web cam like a Kinect to sense your position and preform common Email functions, shown in the image here:

With a feature complete list here: http://static.googleusercontent.com/external_content/untrusted_dlcp/mail.google.com/en/us/mail/help/images/motion/motion_printable_guide.pdf
Google claims it gets you a 12% increase in productivity, is simple to learn and gets you active. Read all about it and watch their videos about it here. http://mail.google.com/mail/help/motion.html

Minecart Interstate 3.0 with the 1911 button is an entertaining watch. Music is surprisingly appropriate.

Sooo... I get a 12% productivity by getting my ass off the warm, comfortable, non-hemorrhoid-inducing chair and hopping around like a monkey on a sugar rush every time I send one of the eighty emails I have to send a day? Interesting...

I was actually swallowing it up (or rather, not questioning it), until I saw the face of the guy doing the motions, and thought "this whole thing is stupid". And then I realized what day it was today.

Well, early results show that it's actually taking a little longer, but Google is confident that that it's just because people have to adjust, and that with some fine tuning you'll be able to get as much as a 14% boost.

It would work better if you could use your penis.

Okay I'm joking, that would screw anyone who's female and uses Gmail.
