So I swam over an ocean, was going for the nearest town and right before nightfall THIS happens:


That "C" is a peasant. WTF!? It's a rock crab peasant!



And the weirdest thing here is the fact that I am ok. I AM SWIMMING IN THE LAVA AND IT IS WARM!

EDIT: OH MAN! ALL MY ITEMS HAVE MELTED! WHY AM I STILL ALIVE!?
EDIT2: I just went out of the pit. I am now in a cavern. WHAT GIVES!?


EDIT3: OH...MY...GOD! WHY AM I A MAGMA CRAB! I STARTED OUT AS AN ELF SWORDSMAN! I was going to go and get that adamantine breast plate at the previous fortress.

EDIT4: I Slept and then I appeared to be traveling(And teleported to the other side of the world.) I am now a FISH! No, I crashed the game so that I can be a magma crab again.

What I have been:

Elf
Magma Crab
Human blacksmith-Just a human.
Cougar-Nothing special. You can lose your head easely.
Buzzard-I could fly. Sweet. But only one tile high.
Fish-BAD BAD BAD. GAME OVER. Fish are swimming so they don't sleep and they can't travel
Gorlak-Hmm. Cave srocodile do not attack you.
Giant cave swallow- I can fly really high.

The shape shifters notes

Banished from my former being I must now wonder the world in search of myself.
In my long years of wandering the wilds, being a fish is the cruelest thing I have known
for there is no way to get out of being a fish. This is a warning to all shapeshifters.

When I shifted into a creature, a buzzard, I noticed that I was able to speak with the elves.
This is an interesting feat indeed. Hmm.. The elf is a wanderer. I wonder if this could...

I seem to have shifted into an elven body. This means that I could now "test" some things.
I appear to be holding a slicing knife. I can kill people but they do not resist.

I am a cave crocodile. I have found out that I can egnite trees.
I shal give a name to all my shapes so that they may live on.

Apparently, being an animal, you are still assaulted by bogeymen.

The reason why is that you're a Rock Crab now. Congratulations, your game is now screwed up. You now lack a proper body and are now cursed to body surfing after sleeping for the rest of your adventurer's life.

Don't get upset, though, as this is rare, and you should take this as a good thing, not a bad thing, and play around.

This is weird. When ever I sleep, I appear on to the surface world again in a travel screen, but when I stop traveling, If I am in a river, then I am a fish. WHAT IS GOING ON!!??

I am now a cougar.
I ma now a buzzard. When ever I shapeshift, I teleport to a different part of the world.

I am now an elf in a hovel. DUDE! I can strangle people and they will not resist.

or until you A pick up DFusion and permanently fix your self to the body your in.
OR FIND YOUR OLD BODY which should be still floating over the ocean.
sadly you can't retire now so best now is to enjoy it while you can.

The A with an o above represents a shrine (Titan and Bronze Colossus lairs, essentially) in the quick travel map.

If you find a body you like I do recommend getting DFusion and permamentizing it! It's lots of fun to do that.

Yes, It would be fun but I am no longer shapeshifting. I was a demon once though, but I couldn't get any followers because I was a peasant.

Well, you can start the process with the same tool again anyway.

1) Change adventurer (non-permanent).
2) Sleep or travel!

First it's called body swapping your not shifting the original adventure body to different races or forms just jacking creatures of their control of their own bodies. Shapeshifting would be using Dfusion's Race changer on yourself.
Second I really need to update the adventure babies having thread I made.
