Just putting this out there.  ;)

As to actual answers... huh. Steam claims to have 954 games under $10, including Magicka, HL2, and so on. (Heck, you could grab Magicka and the upcoming Magicka: Vietnam (yes, I'm serious) DLC for $15, and still have enough left over for lunch!) Or, wait patiently for Steam sales - a $50 game at a 75% discount would fall deftly within your grasp.

If your money is in cash and converting it to electronic form isn't easy, check out the used game rack at your local game store. (If possible, bring an Internet-enabled phone, so you can check out reviews. A $20 piece of crap is still a piece of crap, and, well, remember that all used games were returned for some reason...)

Save the 20 dollars, play some great freeware games instead.

Of course, I'm just saying that because I haven't purchased a new game in a very long time. Somehow, I yearn for the older days when I had more time to play games.

Saints Row 2. The console version is on the XBL Marketplace for $20, IIRC, and you could probably get a used copy for half that. It's worth every penny. Basically, it's Grand Theft Auto on crack, complete with fantastic writing and the mass-murdering actually fitting into the personalities of the characters. And you can get paid to run around naked, exposing yourself to as many people as possible.

Minecraft.  My new addiction, the best hours-for-dollars of any game I've ever purchased.

(Note: I've gotten more fun out of DF, but that's not a purchase, is it?  Anyway, MC is catching up fast.)

€14.95 looks to be about $21.25 today.

Buy the original Half Life, buy Garry's mod, or more importantly donate it to the Red Cross for japan.

You may like The Guild 2: Renaissance, which is a pretty interesting game I can't really describe, if you do plan to look into it further, note that the 'expansions' are standalones and you don't need the original game for it. The one I linked you is the last one, and has everything the other standalone expansions have, as well as way too many bugs. Seriously, I cant even play Renaissance, I only tried like 3 times but it just doesn't work for me. I recommend the basic, plain, 'The Guild 2.'

Or, you may like Deus Ex, if some for some reason you completely missed it. Its only 10 bucks and is a very fantastic, rich, meaningful game.

I also recommend, yet mind you I haven't played it, I'm too poor at the moment, Crusader Kings: Complete, which is the full game and its expansion, Deus Vult. It is a historical kingdom mangament game where you manage your family dynasty just as much as you manage your kingdom. Beware of bastard sons with vengeance!

Thats what I can recommend without any knowledge of what kind of games you like. If you tell me that I can probably help you more. Or I could tell you more about these.

I have all those games

I like sci-fi games, I like games that are turn-based, I like strategy games.

Sword of the Stars: Complete? It's also on sale on GamersGate for $6.99 right now, but personally I don't trust GamersGate (For reasons previously mentioned on this forum).

I've played Sword of the Stars Complete, but I still preferred Master of Orion 2, in fact its one of my favourite 4x's. I found SotS too combat heavy and it just didn't please my tastes, but I'm guessing you've already played MoO2 anyway, so, how about-

Rise from Erebus, a civ4 mod which, while not sci-fi, is very VERY good, adds things you didn't even know you wanted, I don't even bother with normal civ4 anymore, not to mention its completely free and then you could also buy other stuff?  :P I'm assuming you've already played Gratuitous Space Battles, and I cant think of anything else at the moment.

Alpha Centari? That's an awesome 4x, as I recently learned.
