Caravans in adventure mode
« on: March 31, 2011, 02:11:54 pm »

As you can currently only find human towns and fortresses in adventure mode, why not just place a wagon in each human capital or market that sells small armor? It would give a more valid reason to play elf or dwarf, as currently, the only real way to get real small armor is build your own fort and hope you can reach it before your torn apart.

You're talking about a very temporary state of affairs - I think that the very next release is the one where dwarves get their towns back.  Things like fairs are supposed to give us the ability to purchase goods from multiple different civilizations, which would include being able to buy dwarven stuff in a human town.

Personally, I like [DF] because after climbing the damned learning cliff, I'm too elitist to consider not liking it.

Yeah, human towns only is a temporary matter. Hopefully with these new trading stuffs we'll soon see all the civs with their cities back. :)

I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...
