Whisper Surgeon (I'll give you a hint: Ring around the rosies, a pocket full of possies, a tish-oo, a tish-oo, we all fall down.)

Whisper Surgeon (I'll give you a hint: Ring around the rosies, a pocket full of possies, a tish-oo, a tish-oo, we all fall down.)

The surgeon turns his nose up disdainfully.

Surgeon:
"Is that some kind of witchcraft spell?"

Soltesz walks out onto the street. High walls and strong gates keep most passerby on the street from looking into the mansions along it. A few people, their clothes in slightly better shape then most, walk the street. Once and a while a wagon, loaded up with a variety of goods, would come down rumbling down the street, being pulled by one or more stout men.

Whisper to Surgeon (Okay, that doesn't give you much of a hint.
You see, it's spread by rats, and bubonic warts tend to pop up on said victim. Nearly wiped out whole townships where I've been.

Also, how many terminal diseases do you know about?)

Whisper to Surgeon (You know what. Stop listening to these guys it really does not matter to you what we think and it does not matter to us what you think, but, look at it this way, that man is going to live, with full use of his legs and maybe even his hand. You admitted yourself to us you could not do that, but the Doctor from before could. That is all that matters, and if you do not wish to learn that, that is fine.)

Whisper Soltesz (So… You got anything you need doing? Or do you want us to suggest something.)

The surgeon frowns.

Surgeon:
"Bubonic warts? What are those? I know many terminal diseases. Blue fever, the Pox, Flesh-eating Disease..."

Whisper Surgeon (It's a lullaby, you nitwit. It's based on the black death.)

Surgeon: "And what is the black death?"

Whisper to Surgeon (You know what. Surgeon: "Bah, it is still early in his treatment. Early recovery does not change the end results."

Soltesz: "If I were to peek at the letter they would punish me or worse, sack me from my job!"

Whisper Soltesz (So… You got anything you need doing? Or do you want us to suggest something.)

Soltesz: "I-I guess that I should return to Lady Andrea's mansion. Unless I have to do something for the testing process"

Guys, I think it would be useful to start figuring out exactly how much RaiseATT and LowerATT costs, so try not to do any CPU-taking or RAM taking or whatever activities.

>whisper surgeon(Also, you obviously don't trust our abilities, merely because we can not operate on the scale to help our friend here and have limited influence in this world. Would you perhaps trust our knowledge more if we could somehow demonstrate the effectiveness of our methods?)

Also, guys, we never should have went with a surgeon. Doctors are assholes. What we need is a high quality vet - they are generally a lot more open to learning things and doing that which works.

>/help veterinarian
>look veterinarian

We have no idea what we are doing, but I do know having a medic on our team could be very useful - at the least, we'd want to teach someone first aid. And we could do a wonderful demonstration with some basic antibiotics, some rats and cages.

I find it a little unlikely this medieval hell hole has a vet wandering around.

They've surely got horses and probably pigs and cows and chickens. Why WOULDN'T they have a vet?

surgeon-farriers, they were usually called.

So
>/help surgeon-farrier
>look closest-surgeon-farrier

The nice thing about surgeon farriers was they generally knew as much as doctors, but didn't have the ego to go along with it since the position wasn't considered "prestigious"

Whisper Soltesz (I can understand fear of losing your job. My supervisor is currently visibly annoyed, so I may lose my job due to my shenanigans with a random surgeon. Anyway, you don't have to do a thing. We just have to help you accomplish your goal.)

Soltesz: "I don't think that I need help walking down the street."

>Whisper Soltesz (Alright. I do not know of anything we need to do in particular. Basically we will follow you around and help you out I guess.)

Soltesz nods.

>Whisper Soltesz (Do be careful though, the opponents might well test you at any moment with a suitably lethal challenge! If you want or need something to happen, let us know - we can give you small items upon request to help you out, at any time, push things around a bit and other fun stuff.)

Soltesz frowns

Soltesz:
"As I've asked before, where are you getting these items?"

>Whisper Surgeon (Another name for black death, bubonic plague, ect might be the pox. That might be what you call in around here. At any rate, can we rent this room from you? I think our freind just needs a place to lay low for a while, or do you have a idea for a place he can stay?)

The surgeon shakes his head.

Surgeon:
"The Pox causes red boils to burst out around the person's body, along with swelling of the extremities. The only thing black about the Pox is the victim's face when the suffocate to dead. Anyways, you can't rent the room, I need it for my operations."

The surgeon pauses and thinks for a while.

Surgeon:
"How nice a room would you want? Of course, if the patient has any friends, it might be a good idea to ask them first."

>whisper Surgeon (Oh, the black death. Where I come from, it was known, medically, as the bubonic plague. In essence, it was a horrible disease that spread through rats throughout all of a continent, toppling a rather powerful empire and sending us into a time period known as the dark ages. The surgeon nods.

RaiseATT (Surgeon.Respect the voices.200,000)

Task "Respect the voices" has been increased by 200,000 ATT points for object Surgeon.

>whisper surgeon(Also, you obviously don't trust our abilities, merely because we can not operate on the scale to help our friend here and have limited influence in this world. Would you perhaps trust our knowledge more if we could somehow demonstrate the effectiveness of our methods?)

The surgeon muses for a bit.

Surgeon:
"I suppose I might be interested in watching you methods."

>/help surgeon

A surgeon is a specialist in surgery. Classically trained surgeons have experience with medicine and other healing techniques. Non-classically trained surgeons are usually surgeon-barbers, though freelance surgeons are not unheard of. These types of surgeons may or may not have received professional training in surgery. The survival rate for most surgical operations is usually 66%, as germ theory is not known, resulting in many deaths due to infection.

>/help veterinarian

A veterinarian (American English) or a veterinary surgeon (British English), often shortened to vet, is a doctor who treats animals and a practitioner of veterinary medicine. The word comes from the Latin veterinae meaning "working animals". "Veterinarian" was first used in print by Thomas Browne in 1646. Many careers are open to those with veterinary degrees (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine), D.V.M., VMD ( Veterinaria Medicina Doctoris), MVB (Medicina Veterinaria Baccalaureate), BVS (Bachelor of Veterinary Surgery), BVMS (Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery), BVetMed (Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine) or B.V.Sc. & A. H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry). Those working in clinical settings often practice medicine in a limited field such as "companion animal" or pet medicine, which includes small animals such as dog, cat, and pocket pets, production medicine or livestock medicine. Production medicine includes specialties in dairy cattle, beef cattle, swine, sheep, and poultry, equine medicine (e.g., sport, race track, show, rodeo), laboratory animal medicine, reptile medicine, or ratite medicine. Veterinarians may choose to specialize in medical disciplines such as surgery, dermatology or internal medicine, after post-graduate training and certification.

>/help surgeon-farrier

A surgeon-farrier is a type of doctor who specializes in the treatment of horses and their injuries. Unlike a normal farrier, a surgeon farrier is a specially trained and educated farrier, who can preform surgical operations on horses, such as to repair or set broken bones. A surgeon-farrier can also preform all the regular jobs of a farrier, such as trimming a horse's hoof, or the placement of shoes. Most surgeon-farriers either work in towns and cities, where their specialized knowledge is needed more, or are under the employ of the royal court, to heal favourite horses, or to reduce the costs of cavalry.

>look closest-surgeon-farrier
