Because the first would be a reasonable thing we should be able to do. If we can alter their brain patterns, then we should be able to change how much they know about a certain skill.

And the second is because altering someones DNA to give them something completely badass would be AWSOME.

I know, the only times we would be able to use it is when we had awoken from said blackout and progress is almost impossible because of our Ward's inguries.

Sorry John, but I think if at all, it'll be implemented with restrictions anyway, so it's worth a shot, even if it gets turned down.
Giving them the equipment to heal themselves, doesn't mean they can use it. We need some sort of way to do it.

Sorry, that's way too powerful, even with restrictions. I'd much prefer the skill thing. That's more useful in a pinch.

Jonathan nods, and exits the cell. Jorg follows.

Cautiously, the two walk down the line of empty cells, till they reach the door at the end of the hallway. Jonathan slowly opens the door partway, and peaks out.

The door opens out to a dirt courtyard. The courtyard is surrounded by tall stone walls and towers. Five wooden buildings lie beside the wall, along with several wooden staircases to reach the upper parts of the walls. The clanging of a blacksmith can be heard coming from one of the buildings, which has a thin stream of smoke billowing out from its chimney. In the centre of the courtyard stand a battalion of militia, preforming drills. A Sargent struts in front of them, bellowing commands and occasionally whacking one of the militia with the baton he carries.

A guard is leaning beside the door. He is watching the drills with a bored look of detachment on his face. He hasn't spotted Jonathan peeking out from the door. Slowly, Jonathan closes the door.

Jonathan:
"Damn. I thought we had some time before drills started."
