The deity of the land has assigned you to be the new Locator of The Thing. Unfortunately, he never actually tells anyone what THE THING is, and is rather smite-happy.

Who are you this time, and what should you look for first?

The dog is not THE THING.
He seemed interested in the Norwegians, though. perhaps that'll give you more time to find it.
