My idea for a new RtD, currently not in planning for some time until my Library of Forgotten Lore RtD is finished.

My inspiration for it is an old story of mine, which I dubbed 'Bad Fantasy'.

In a shared subconsciousness which all people enter once they die there is a world twice as big as the earth one knows. On that world, there is one capital 'Gaia' which is made of 7 districts. But in the middle of all, there is a tower. While no one knows what is true, the people of Gaia's Guild preach that 'God's seat' is on the top of it.

The Districts are the first District 'Thrice-risen District', controlled by Levia's Blessing (Chaotic Good), a group that stands against Gaia's Guild Chaotic Evil).
The second District and third District are the 'Sunsky District' and 'Damned District' controlled by Saria's Mercenaries. (Lawful Evil)
The fourth District is the 'Living District', an independent District.
The fifth District is the 'Moonlight District' is controlled by Gaia.
The sixth District is the 'Lost District' is where the 'Prophets' awaken. An independent District like the fourth.
The seventh District is the 'Trader's District', controlled by Grace's Mercenaries (Lawful Neutral).

The Prophet's are ordinary people, forced to enter Gaia and the shared subconsciousness. They have a special ability no one but them has.

The abilities are always the 'Being Prophet' one, which the players have to learn about themselves.
But they can chose a second one:

Puppetmaster (Master of Strings, Greece.). Let an ally use his ability through your body or control an enemy for one turn. (5 Turns Cooldown.)
Infinite Masks (Crawling Chaos, Cthulhu Myth.) Let's one copy someone else's ability that is weakened (-1 to the rolls) for one turn. (3 turns Cooldown.)
Mars Blessing (War God, Rome.) Every weapon get's a +1 to every weapon for one turn. (3 turns Cooldown.)
Creation Rebirth (Takamagahara, Shinto.) Regenerates Limbs faster (usually 3 turns for full recovery, instant for Creation Rebirth.) (1 turn Cooldown.)
Men's Blessing (Buddha, Buddhism.) Invincibility for one turn. (7 turns Cooldown.)
Masterful Prophet (Better than 'Being Prophet' as such, only ability) (0 turns Cooldown.)
Four Legs Glare (Reincarnation, Hinduism) Transforming into any animal (3 turns Cooldown.)
Sun Blessing (Egyptian.) (One time per day (SUNLIGHT) +1 to every roll for every roll for 3 turns.) (One Night Cooldown.)

A Prophet is allowed to die twice, but loses his Prophet ability for the first time. (Yes, even the Masterful Prophet.)

If a prophet dies, a player slot is opened.

A SMALL TOWN IN AMERICA…

“HAHAHAHAHA, JERKOFFS!” shouts the leader of the seventh graders. First you look about you, at the dusty corners of the dead end in which you find yourself, and then into the eyes of your companions. Chuck trembles with fear. Joe is already crying. Randy’s cheeks are red with shame. “FIRST YOU’RE GONNA DIE, AND THEN WE’RE GONNA TAKE YOUR DINNER MONEY, DICKWADS!”

Chuck wets himself.

The seventh grade gang approach. You fall to the floor and curl into a ball, waiting for the inevitable.

You never see what happens next: you are too terrified to uncurl and watch.

There’s a sound of screaming.

There’s the sound of a punch to the guts.

And the dull crack of a kick to the jaw.

Then there’s the sound of whimpering; the soft sob of… of a seventh grader crying? The hurried footfall of fleeing bullies? It must be a trap: Chuck and the others are dead! They’re surrounding you! THEY’RE GONNA TEAR YOU APART!

…   …   …   …   …   …

A few minutes pass. Suddenly the smell of urine gets stronger.

“Dude. Dude. Get up man. They’re totally gone, dude!”

“Wh- what? B-“

“Dude. It was an eighth grader, man! He came out of nowhere and… and he knew… he knew…”

“What, man? Come on Chuck, what did he know, buttmunch?”

“Dude, he knew YOGA, man. It was the most terrible but awesome thing I’ve ever seen!”

You notice Randy a few feet from the rest of you. He seems to be vomiting.

“But what’s up with Randy, Chuck? Did the seventh graders get him first?”

“No, man. No. He just saw it all. He’s seen things he can never unsee, dude. Those bastards are in hospital now, man! THEY EAT DINNER THROUGH TUBES NOW, DUDE!”

A couple of hours pass. You get home.

“Mum, can I learn yoga? There’s a class at the community centre Sunday?”

“Yoga? Erm… yeah… sure?”

And that is how your quest to master the ancient martial art of yoga begins. Little do you know, now, how far it will take you. Little do you know, now, how close to death you will come.

You may follow one of the three main paths of Yoga:

Hatha Yoga – This is the most shamanic of Yogas. Its acolytes can perform great feats through the power of breathing hard. It closely resembles the art of the shinobi.
Iyengar Yoga – A Yoga focusing on powerful stances and toughness of body and mind, as well as precise movement. A Yoga for the tank in all of us, it can also be adapted to ninja training, although that can be said for all forms of Yoga.
Ashtanga Yoga – Also known as POWER YOGA, which kind of speaks for itself. It focuses on destructive capabilities.

I will be trialling the new Revised Revised Gatleos/Archimedes/lawastooshort WS Wound System. And by Archimedes I mean 10ebbor10. I might try to come up with a niftier title for it.

Basically, damages types will be split into the three standard types: Piercing, Slicing and Smashing. Explosions can cause a combination of damage types.

The Revised Revised system is basically something I was working on for Roll to Be Too Old For This Shit, and is designed to be more (AT LEAST ONE SIXTH MORE) deadly that the Revised system, which hasn’t led to a great deal of player turnover in The Magnificent Timelord. The levels of fatality in this are meant to truly reflect the deadly world of Yoga.

Building stage(Yes, still keeping this one)
        Players roll a d6 to gradually build their vehicle. There are 3 rolls per turn, and players are allowed to reroll things, or repurpose rolls. A player can decide to skip a roll, which counts as rolling a 3 on the roll of choice. The specific order of the objecs is described later, though is actually freely changeable.

Racing stage
        The actual game. Players can take up to 2 actions a turn. Usually, racing will be one of them. The other actions can be firing weaponry, gathering resources or doing repairs. Specifics later.

Here you roll a d6 to construct your vehicle. Below is the suggested order of building things, divided in 3 rolls per turn. You're allowed to ignore this order, and reroll things or auto rolls(which results in a 3). Some rolls are required, and when you don't roll for them it will be assumed you rolled a one. On average, rolling a one will have bad effects, and rolling a six might have bad effects on other parts of your ship.

Form: Is it a plane, is it a boat, is it a tank?

Engine: Determines how fast you're going. Speed is a determined by a d6 + an engine bonus, which is 1,2,3 or 4 based on your engines quality.

Fuel tank: An engine uses fuel, at a rate of 1 fuel per racing action.
The fuel tank's size is equal to the D6+2

Cargo hold: All your ammunition and food is going to be stored somewhere.
Cargo hold size = 20+ d6*10

Armor. Essential to avoid being blown to pieces.
Armor normally equals a d(2+X). With X being the roll. A player can choose to lower the dice with 2 for a constant +1 bonus

Dodging. Essential to avoid being blown to pieces.
Dodging normally equals a d(2+X). With X being the roll. A player can choose to lower the dice with 2 for a constant +1 bonus

Crew quarters
Holds d6 crew. Your character is included in this.

Money:
d6*500

Crew
You get d6 points.
Bad: 1
medium:2
Good:3
Veteran: 6

Weapons
You get d6*3 points to be divided amongst these stats
Accuracy: d(4+a)+b (Increasing a costs 1 point, increasing b two )
Damage:  d(4+a)+b (Increasing a costs 1 point, increasing b two )
Ammunition size: 10 (Can be decreased by 2 for each point. Getting bonus points this way is possible.)
Range: +4  for every point spend
Special traits:
     -WMD(Hits all targets in range): 6 points
     -Splash damage:( When this weapon fails to beat the dodge roll of the enemy, the difference is subtracted from the damage roll): 2 points
     -Persistent projectiles (Projectiles try to find another target after a near miss): 4 points
     -Aoe:(Hits all targets in a range of 2X points, with x being the amount of points invested): X points
     -Quick attack: This attack is rolled at the beginning of the phase
      -Melee (Limits range to 1. Gives 1 point)
            -Grapple(Allows you to grab onto another race. This results in the racerolls being averaged between you two.) Cost 3 points
     -Other (Suggest things, and I provide)

Racing happens in racing turns. There are 2 phases each turn (The first and the second phase). These are completely interchangeable. The order of individual turn order is useually this:

Attacks are rolled using 2 opposing rolls.
First is the accuracy roll, where the attacker's accuracy is rolled against the Dodge of the victim. If the victim manages to dodge succesfully, the attack misses. Should the attack hit, then we proceed to the damage roll.

The damage roll is an opposed damage vs armor roll. The result is subtracted from the targetted part of choice.

A couple of modifiers apply:
Every missed attack against a single player adds a -1 dodge modifier, that last untill the end of the action phase.(Weapons fired in phase 1 do not contribute to phase 2)
If the accuracy roll exceeds the dodge roll by more than 4, a +2 modifier is attached to the damage roll. An extra +1 modifier is added for every 2 above.

Crew are an important asset, but not really needed. They give you several benefits, such as allowing you to repair faster, search for more things and even boarding actions but also have significant drawbacks. They require quarters, and use food, which much be paid for. Adding to that, they can also be killed in battle.

Rolls are as follows:
Bad crewmember: -1
Normal crewmember: 0
Good crewmember: +1
Veteran: +2 and a +1 bonus to another roll
You: +3
