The idea didn't work out?
~~~
So, flabort, mind showing off a "finished product" loot, so to say? Not just the words involved, but something like how it might look in the game?
Sure. While the table isn't finished yet, I'll just re-roll when a blank result comes up. I'll actually give you three finished products.
So let's say you had Luck-2. You gain your loot, and it might look like this:
[Loot (luck): 1d6-
2=3] You get an oddly shaped spider; it's body is shaped like an arrow head, and it's carapace is shiny and hard like flint. It has hair sprouting from it's head, knotted and tied in braids that you would expect on a Mongolian leader, and in one of it's 8 legs it carries a tiny beer glass and in another it has a silk rag which it uses to wipe out the glass. It leaps up onto your shoulder and in it's deep but tiny voice shouts a warcry. You feel like it could listen to all your troubles and it wouldn't judge.
So with each word, we have to roll 2 ten sided dice. First X, then Y. With the roll of luck 3, we'll be looking at the sixth table, labeled "three". Between each roll I use the scratchpad to randomize the tables.
7,2:The only option under column BA, labeled h2 (which is the 7,2 result) between rows 52 and 71 right now is "flint arrowhead",
with a 1/20 chance of rolling that. We'll just default to "Flint arrowhead".
Just one object is not enough to qualify as random loot, so let's roll again:
3,10: A roll of 10 or 1 on these tables will have multiple words, some of which come from better or worse tables, to add more randomness. Result: "Bartender Jumping Spider Teleporting Genghis Khan"
Alright, so now we have 5 words, and I prefer minimum 3 with at least one "object". That seems like enough, let's figure out what they mean.
Let's say you somehow got a kill with that spider, and gain a point in luck. You might get loot like this:
[loot (luck): 1d6-
1=4] A suit of black armor appears, made of slivery metallic plates coated in a black tar. The tar seems to be irremovable, but the armor itself is incredibly hard. It's design is reminiscent of a dragon, from the helmet shaped like a dragon's angry maw, to the scaly motif etched into the arms and legs and the small wings on the back. All this decoration and tar seems like it would catch weapons too easily. You just hope nobody lights a match while you're wearing it.
2,8: Tar
3,8: Adamantium Dragon (I think I'll need to move this result)
8,1: Full Plate (must have pointed at a blank cell, normally a roll of 1 would give at least 2 words)
Like I said, I prefer at least 3 words with at least one being an object. Here we have two "objects", so I combine them, and add in the material. I then treat the material in the second word as a separate word, even though it's part of the same word, and make it the material that the armor is made of.
So much further down the line, you've made several kills, and have luck+3. What loot will you gain?
[loot (luck): 1d6+
3=6] You receive a Katana, a long narrow sword of oriental make. It is surrounded by an aura of swirling glowing particles, which are emitted by a scrap of red cloth tied to the hilt. Holding the Katana in your hand, you see visions of superior tactical positions for yourself and allies; though you feel less like a general and more like someone traveling a path that has already been taken before.
6,2: Aura
2,5: Katana
3,10: (after getting an #REF error because it was trying to read itself:) " Journey (Videogame) Tactics " (The spaces are because it pointed at a cell that had multiple results but was itself pointing at at least one blank cell)
