Building destroyers destroy their town

I created an entity of cyclopes, which are building destroyers. When I started near them in Fortress Mode, they were destroyering THEIR OWN CITY. I think they should not.

to be fair,,, this isnt realy a bug report,
since its your own additions which are attacking their own building

Well, they are my additions, but still, shouldn't they be smart enough to understand that smashing their houses = bad?

I made a similar report some time ago, although it involved an unmodded version, and a friendly ettin in my fort. The ettin was destroying my buildings, despite being friendly. I eventually channeled under him and sealed him with a lid.
Toady later fixed the possible friendliness of the semimegas in fort mode, but didn't look into the "faulty IFF" issue.

I guess they just destroy everything they can reach, with no regard to ownership.

I once modded humans to be 'buildingdestroyers'...that wasn't pretty.  I mean, look at history, humans clearly destroy buildings.  How do you think those "ruins" got there in the first place?

Anyways, Merchants visiting my fortress were lazy, but their guards were having a hayday.  I didn't work in adventur mode though (they don't have useful buildings I guess).  They just didn't have it in them anymore.
