Inferior. The Lead Axe was mostly ineffective against Bronze Breastplates, but an Iron Mace could beat that. Against higher level armors (iron,steel,adamat.), the Lead Axe would be a cool weapon to die with. Fortunately, Trolls and Serpent Men rarely use Adamant. armor so I should be alright.
