Things you may not know you have: An access tunnel. A door. A surprise round of fire.
That said, murdering out in the open means its less likely they will find the door. Should also drag the bodies outside so they arent inclined to head into the cave/tunnel/what have you that leads inside.

The Drones are sent out to attack the raiders. After the skirmish the raiders have lost 3 men and we have lost a Mark I Infantry Drone.
While the Drones are gone maintenance bots set up the Mark II turrets, Brian notices that there are more mainenace bots heading to the entrance then usual.

Tell Brian that the maintenance bots are for clearing up the radioactives.

Arrange for some -actual- radioactives to be spilled there, just in case he gets nosy. Why fudge the readouts if we can make it honestly radioactive? This way if he wanders in, he'll get dosed with rads and it'll look more legit to other survivors after poor Brian's untimely death.

The bots are sent out again to watch the advancing group of raiders. Their behavior seems to indicate that they are addicted to some kind of rage inducing drug. One of them yells and opens fire on your bots and communication is lost. An hour later the drones return but one of the MKII bots is damaged.

Another message is sent to Brian.
"We know you may be worried about the recent increase in Maintenance Robots in the tunnel entrance, but I assure you that everything is going swell!"

Brian isn't buying it he thinks something is going on, he tells his friend Dominic about it.
