Because it would make the world safer.
Safer is not necessarily better.

I almost Godwin's Law'd myself, so I'm really going to bed now >_>;;

That would have been in very bad taste.

Why does that need to be so?
Monotony tends to kill positive emotions.

Because it would make the world safer.

It would make the world safer by removing everything worthwhile for it. If that's your vision of a perfect world I have to wonder what you live for.

It sounds to me like he's not a fan of complication, which is fine, but then he went too far in that direction and wandered into crazyland territory. Then there was the homosexual remark, which was downright hateful and ignorant.

Why don't you read Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell or Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury sometime and still try to say that's the world you want to live in.

So how do you manage to live in this world anyway? Everything and everyone is so distinct from all the others it would seem like it would be impossible for you to actually live here with all this "diversity".

It's not an or situation.
Read both of them.
And Brave New World.
451 is my favourite of the three.

I was going to make a post defending GK, but he's gone so far into Hokey-Pokey land* that I really don't want to any more.

I thought his original comment meant "Camp Gay is annoying," but it proved to be much worse.

I'm back! Dinner was very nice, thank you. I mean I didn't cook it, so it was nice to have hot food without effort for a change. Although don't get me wrong, I just love cooking! Not so much baking, it's so fiddly that...

Well, that was interesting. Although I have little doubt that at this rate, Gamer Knight will become very good at debating, but I do question he's methods a little. Grinding your logic skill against the boss characters lurking bay12 isn't very effective, maybe a low level area with more trolls to slay would be more effective?

And I'm back. You people mistake my opinions for hate. I don't like that. You accuse me of being crazy when I come from a valid standpoint. And that is that world peace and harmony is more important than everyone being 'a rare and delicate flower'.
