Interesting designs
« on: March 26, 2011, 07:15:38 pm »

On the floor and walls of my fortress, my future legendary engraver was training his skills. He drew some circles, some stars... A bed. A tree, a rendition of his own engraving of a tree... A rendition of his rendition of the tree he made... A rendition of his rendition of his rendition of a tree he made. A dwarf, and a cast.

I don't feel too happy about these engravings, comical may they be. I just don't want them on my entrance. Is there any way to re-smooth the wall?

Build floors on top of them, then remove the floors. Unfortunately, if they're masterworks, he'll still get pissy about them.

And nothing you can do for the walls (except recasting them with obsidian).

Doesn't quite have the ring of heroics to it...

There's a bug that allows you to do just that. I don't remember the details though.
