-Success! My latest prototype of a time machine seems to work well. I shall test more to see if I am correct.

-Noooooo! I seem to have slept on the job, while my time machine was still operating! It seems that I have let some historical figures in the lab. Hopefully nothing goes wrong...

-Alas, I have found the body of my lab assistant, Dakarian, dead this morning. It seems that these unwilling time-travelers have banded together in some groups to find the killer...or to kill the rest. I will continue to record notes of what happens.
