What

Quote
We need to ensure that Canada’s government is stable, national and wholly committed to the unity of our country. Imagine a coalition of arch-centralists and Quebec sovereignists trying to work together. The only thing they’ll be able to agree on is to spend more money and to raise taxes to pay for it.

They did it before. They’ll do it again. And this time they won’t let it fall apart.

Maybe I've not had enough time to fully enjoy "Politics" yet, but that is one of the worst bits of scaremongering bullshit I have ever seen.

You should have seen it when it killed Deon's career. It was actually a fresh bit of scaremongering bullshit instead of a tired one.

I am very tired of seeing the constant "Michael Ignatieff is back in Canada, and let's show you some things he said in the early 00s and even in the 90s to prove that his current opinions are not Canadian and that he's evil and hates the Canadian people" smear ads.  Every time I watch TV on a Canadian channel, one of those ads will pop up.  Every single time.  It's somehow worse than the years of weekly "Liberals are BAD!  The NDP is BAD!" mail.

The Liberal counterattack is not much better.  At least they focus on recent events (2010, 2011), and I'm not constantly seeing their ads.  Still, not the right thing to do.

Green party is attacking attack ads.  Ha!

Anyway, I'm glad I don't watch TV anymore.  :)

Frankly what they SHOULD be doing is explaining their platforms instead of these retarded attack ads.  Canadian politics is pretty pathetic lately.

Hey, at least their hypocrisy has a point outside of mudslinging (Not that it isn't mostly mudslinging).

I saw an ad today attacking the conservatives and it didn't even bother saying who it was from. And people complain of conservative attack adds.

Maybe it was a conservative attack ad.

http://www.thestar.com/news/insight/article/966557--harper-s-coalition-tirade-touches-raw-nerve

Gilles Duceppe pretty much squishes the Harper tactic of 'OMG THE COALITION IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL' by bringing a copy of a Harper-signed letter from 2004, asking the GG to let them form a coalition. It must hurt to be that wrong, Stephen.
