Oh, yeah, of course.

But would you be able to collect magma in adventure mode if you had access to it? I don't think so but I could be wrong.

You can collect water (I think), so it would make sense if you could do the same with magma.

Nah you can't. I tested this a while ago, and to my disappoint, I could not pick up magma.

Actually I believe you can only pick up water that has been separated from regular water eg. taken out of a container and dropped or something. Considering you don't generally find magma like this it would be hard.

But wait! What if you had a reaction to spawn magma? Hmm.

You can collect normal water in your waterskins. However it's an action "fill a waterskin" and it does not register magma as a possible source.

I tried this with nickel flasks a few versions back, and sadly it doesn't work.
