I don't mind if there aren't any expansions.

But, if you do consider getting any, I would say Open for business should be first on the list.
Lets you create your own businesses, buy community lots, and make robots.

Depending on how you want to balance the gameplay and storytelling, the "boolProp testingcheatsenabled true/false" cheat can be very useful. It grants you the ability to spawn items that can force most of the Sim's automatic responses or make them wear career clothes they wouldn't otherwise have access to. Similarly, the cheat "moveobjects (on/off)" lets you move objects you couldn't normally reposition (like Sims) just be careful about deleting things with this mode active.
