I'm only 13, but I feel like I have done nothing with my life... I have no idea why I feel like I need to go do everything in a day and accomplish something. Anyone know if this is nomral? Or am I suddenly mentally challenged?

Normal.

I've pretty much always felt that way, and I'm 21.

Alright, then you still have ~60 years left. Go do something that isn't wasteful.

It's not uncommon at all, especially while going through puberty. I'm almost 20 and all I've really managed to do so far is push through school and avoid getting killed. But even though your older family members and dry anecdotes might have informed you of it already, you never know where life will take you. Apart from death, of course. Shouldn't that be enough motivation? Live every day like you might get trampled by elephants or something.

Or something that you actually enjoy doing. Nevermind the other people who judge you by what you do, just do whatever it is that you genuinely enjoy.

That feeling of wasting your life gets worse when you get stuck with a dead-end office job.  But you'll get numb to it after a while.

Oh and haven't we all? I felt this too, but I was to lazy to do something about it other than a low end acting thing (read:shitty drama club thing). and trying to learn how to program. You could swear off of forums forever, that'd increase productivity.

When I felt like I'd wasted my life, I took up a sport. Now I'm really good at tennis.

It doesn't have to be that way. Start following your whims through and be your own person. There are very few things that a person isn't able to learn and accomplish on there own, especially in a world where we can find information on almost anything we are interested it. You don't need classes to learn and do.

You are thirteen. You got plenty more time to waste, trust me, son.

That said, I aint think nothing is wrong with you. This type of feeling is common. Look for something new and interesting to try. You might just fins something you like.

Then he should try to not get stuck on a dead-end office job. How about trying to become, say, a stunt driver? Or some extreme-sport professional? That way, the only thing he'll ever get numb to is fear and possibly basic common sense.

Or go for something on the opposite scale, like, say, university professor? That might include a lot of office-job-esque stuff, but its bound to be better than an accounting job or whatever if he enjoys whatever academic pursuit he works in, and does research in awesome and useful stuff, and talks to like-minded intellectuals all day.

Though its a bit early for any of that at 13 years of age, but at least know that there ARE non-depressing options to chose from!

Same here.
However 13 is a bit early to have a midlife crisis...

you just need a change of seen, the fact is that shcools is mosty dull and repetive with only the vage study hard so you can get a good job as an aim.

most of the time you change job or the job changes over so long a time.
school does not realy change it was a way of mosty keeping you off the streets when you where 5 and it will still be at 16.
