But pink is doing the same strategy of expansion. (which honestly is the only way to get lots of Color until tier 2 and its trade/research/other new stuff, so its not as exploitative as it seems)

What does power (such as that produced by data refineries) do I you don't have anything to power? Can I convert it to color? By the way, sure on the trade alliance, but I won't get into any concrete wars yet.

I was thinking more of a mutual  defence thing so if someone decides to attack... but trade is fine

Power:
You need at least 1 per Base Tier, more is counted as backup. the generated power from the backup can be given to merchants to trade with, or to convince them to make a specific trip that they'd rather not by having a lot of light.

Can also be used as a base wrecker for pyrric defences if necessary, since the explosion will damage all surrounding buildings and chain react with damaged reactors.

Power with nothing to use it on is just extra power sitting around, possibly as bait, or possibly because the turrets that were there were destroyed. It'll still add to your Color tile count, though.

Can be disabled/turned off. Inactive reactors are inert and wil not chain react.
Tier 3 has a data -> Color converter.

Defensive pact and trade sound good to me, I still think I won't be of the most use during a war because of the fact I'm not making units. I'm gonna tech as soon as I get a good amount of income.

Infantry Combat:
Blahs: 1 damage per attack per blah, 5 armor. 2 range.
Blasters: 2 damage per thrown explosive, otherwise same as a Blah. Can take down a Crappy Guard Tower in one explosive. 2 range normal attack, 3 range explosives.
Color Bombers: No damage with Colorizing weapons, just space claiming. 3 Armor. 1 range (can color any tile adjacent to them, but not further.)
Scouts: .5 damage per attack (only equipped with a pistol), 0 armor.

More will be added as units appear.

Each point of armor is basically a point of HP, but units have 1 extra HP if they get down to 0 armor so they can try to flee unarmored.

Buildings:
Tier 1 Buildings have 10 Armor, except for the Crappy Guard Tower, which has 2.

Infantry:
No Armor = 0.
Low Armor = 3 Armor.
Average Armor = 5 Armor.
High Armor = 10 Armor.

1 Blah attack = 1 Armor point.
1 Explosive = 2 Armor points. (if they end up with -1 armor from this, no escape chance since they're already dead)

I build data refineries in my empty slots in my outpost, and expand North of all my stuff as much as possible.
