2037

Plenty of mines on Venus, mass drivers now active.

Where's my scout ship? >:(

Youre a desk jockey, deal with it.
Never heard of this game until now, so colour me interested, I love space!

I'll sign up. Since I have no idea what's going on, just assign me to something interesting, preferably on the frontier, once we've colonised other systems. Either a small patrol vessel (do those exist?) or something of the sort.
Or, if all else fails, put me in charge of a cargo ship haha.

Currently i have 5 survey ships, about 10 heavy transports, one scout with hyperdrive and 3 colony ships. I'll add ya and as a decent naval officer :D

Brunch has gained a medical condition, he is fair health now.

Mars is colonised, Hugehead made governor of Mars. Euchrejack given Venus.

Centurion Timerferius has improved his fleet skill.

2038

Brunch, Karlito and Ahra have been assigned to a geosurvey team. Their first

Scientist Sheb is researching new nuclear pulse engine technology.

Brunches geo team found lots more tritanium on Terra, next stop Venus.

Well, once this engine tech is ready, Sheb will research the first fuel efficiency tech then start working on a new generation of engines: the Mars military Engine and the Mercure's Sandals Commercial engine.

What am I up to aside from increasing my fleet command skill? Again, I have no idea how this game really works yet (slowly figuring it out) but do you gain skills through academies or some such? or is it all hands on knowledge?

You gain skills by using them, academies only increse the number of new officers/scientists/leaders that graduate each year.

From what I understand, its hands on, you get skills from doing what your good at, same for promotions. I think.

What he said.

Youve had a long career in commanding heavy transports. Mostly Spiculum One and Tyrael(Named after a bay12er who got booted from the Roman navy for being useless). Spiculum being the heavy cargo class ship :D

2025-32 commanding a the survey ship Lancea 3.
2032-34 commanding the colony ship Drusus two.
2034-35 commanding Spiculum Venus.
2035-36 commanding Tyrael(cargo).
2036-37 commanding Spiculum One
2038-    commanding Spiculum Two.

Thats it :D

Yes he can. You can rename almost anything, from star systems to ground units, including ships, commanders and components.

I'm not very creative, so ideas for technology names! welcome!!!

Also when i run out of planets, i will move onto known star systems
like Centauri(alpha) Vega after the class name :D

Considering my tenure as a Comet Governor, name a ship engine after me!

Considering my new job as the Govenrnor of a toxic planet, name a terriformer after me!

Dibs on the first colony outside our sector!
At which point, you can name a jump drive after me...

By the way, what are my stats?  Obviously, they're not much, as you seem to have me as the third-tier administrator.

You should increase your military academy so you can get more officers.

More officers? na, I've got 3 month tours just to keep people in the navy. Not yet anyway.

As for stats....

They are very good, I put you on venus because its currently opur largest colony! Hugehead has mars because its terraform worthy and he has a bonus.

you have...

Admin 4
Shipbuilding 30%
Factory 15%
Mining 10%
Ground construction speed 10%
Espionage bonus 25%

Youd be governor of Terra if it wasnt for inteunisos 30% wealth bonus :D I'm a sucker for cold hard cash.

Well, that is impressive.  Although, I'm probably only using the 10% mining bonus for now.

Actually, reason more officers is better is because of the hope of getting better and more diverse officers, and making more than one geological team.

Maybe. But I already loose at least one every tour.
