I've recently picked this up, i'm not particularly great at it but am learning!

This isn't technically a LP, its more 'sign up and get a report on what happens to your guy'. With the possibility for some high ranker politics

The Race is based on Roman Autocracy.

I have created several medals based on Roman awards:

Emperor: Granted to the emperor, gives an enormous PP(Due to the position).
Grass crown: Granted to a commander who relieved a beleaguered Roman Army.
Civic crown: Granted for exceptional civic achievement and loyalty.
Naval crown: Awarded to the first naval unit leader into combat in a conflict.
Gold crown: Granted to a ground unit commander who held his ground against long odds.
Battle crown: Granted to a ground unit officer who captures a planet.
Triumph: Awarded for exceptional military success.
Oration: Awarded for notable military success.
Trinket: Awarded by the Emperor to leaders of note after a combat.

I will add more as it goes on, specifically more Civil ones, but these are what I have to begin.
I deleted the rank Imperator and changed to Consul, I want Emperor to be chosen by me to begin with. And then voted on by anyone who joins this venture

Tours will be auto assigned to 36 months(3 yrs).

People can play any or no part in this, request something, a award for someone etc.

I'll sign you up as a commander(medium level ship command), and give you a ship to start. However we currently have none  so good luck. most likely ill give you command of the first hauler shipping to my first colony.

Ahra is a rising Decturion(rank 1), Both tough and skilled, has a bright future ahead.
Centurion(rank 2) Brunch is a skilled and aggressive officer, he also has much political influence.

The first goal for the empire, is to send out a geological team to the moon and see what resources lie there. Earth Terra is low in some.
Secondary is to scout for jump points out of the system. Once we have a survey ship!

Simmura is a skilled trainer and combat soldier with decent political connections.

Also, proposal.

I propose a new medal - The Shining Star. It will give 100pp to a young candidate in officer school every 3 years. The aim being to help aspiring officers climb the ladder by recognizing their skills.

Also, I propose a new medal: Minerva's Blessing: an award to scientist that made a breakthrough in some important field.

Has Aurora been updated in the last year or so to make it playable with a resolution that tops out at 760ish pixels? I remember really wanting to play it way back when I first heard about it on here, but that was a deal breaker (still is pretty much, if I want to play it on my own computer at least. Seem to remember it really tall seeming 4:3 resolution back then)

No idea on the tech in the game, but I'd love some sort of long-range support vessel (bonus points if the vessel can fulfill a Macross Missile Massacre) Name my Character 'Quaff' if you can, I don't know why but I'm quite taken with that verb today. Last name Hoshllem if it comes up

Totally going to watch this though, if I can't play the game I can at least have some fun watching you play.
