Ah yes, the power of 5 minutes in Maptools and some shoddy MSPaint cropping.
The team done making adjustments and learning the ins-and-outs of their Mobile Suits, they line up single file and begin marching into the hangar bay of the Megarider. With the last of the gargantuan mechs inside the hangar, the large door leading into the bay slowly closes shut. Hopping out of your new Gundams, the group heads into a hallway towards an elevator shaft, passing maintenance crews on their way.
Taking the shaft up to the bridge, you find Admiral Kubius speaking with a technician. Upon catching sight of you, the technician hurries away and Kubius turns to face you. "Everything checks out then? Good. We were just preparing to lift off." Walking a short ways away, the Admiral settles into a chair facing the forward windows. Outside the windows you spot dots of orange light going towards the dark ceiling of the hangar, as a voice sounds off over the intercom. "Megarider, you are cleared for departure."
A rumbling sound vibrates through the ship as it takes off from the massive hangar it was residing in and begins ascending. While it does so, Kubius begins speaking. "The operation we'll be taking part in will be near the L4 Colony, quite a ways back on the orbit of Earth. Two and a half weeks ago, it was the target of a failed Martian attack, but sensors have picked up a fleet of ships en route to it as we speak."
The ship finally finishes ascending completely out of the facility, with the bridge windows now revealing the desolate lunar landscape. Boosting forward, the Megarider begins thrusting away from the Moon and Earth, towards the dark of space. "We're going to beat them to the punch, hopefully far away enough from the colony to prevent damage. It'll take a few hours, so the techs have arranged a simulation to keep you busy. I think you'll find it adequate for training." Kubius says, before waving you off towards the elevator.
A short whiles later, the party finds themselves in a highly technical looking lab, with six elevated chairs near a complex looking computer system off in a corner. A female assistant greets you and walks you over to the chairs. "We've arranged for a simulation to keep you busy until we reach the colony. The simulation's Gundam's should be accurate to your own, so think of it as training!" she says as you all settle into your chairs. A visor settles over your eyes, and for a moment, everything is dark.
Then as quickly as it came, the darkness vanishes, leaving you in the cockpit of your Mobile Suit, looking over a massive plain, with grass as far as the eyes can see. Off in the distance, you spot two teams of Martian mobile suits, commanded by their most recent creation, the high-tech Cyclops.
Ship is going to fight the bad guys before they attack a colony, good guys get put in a simulation to test their Gundams in the meantime.
