~780M main, ~170m plugin-container. 42 tabs, ranging from a whole bunch of tvtropes to a bunch of blogs. Also been running for days without a proper shutdown. Weeks since the last time it only had a single tab open. So probably far above average memory usage per page.

~160mb with five tabs open, one being YT, plugin container disabled as it only makes firefox eat more on it's own, not mentioning PC's own memory usage.

Never saw FF4 go above 350m, even when I had 9 tabs, including two YT and one chat.

At fresh startup, my FF4 is ~100mb

tvtropes
That place instantly destroys all my productivity for the day. Even if I force myself to close the browser entirely, I'm still thinking about non-work stuff.

Let me know when they fix the font rendering crap in FF4 and I'll be a loyal user.

For some reason, neither FF4 nor the portable version want to run properly for me.
Oh hey now it works. Chromium must've blocked it.

After my geekgasm wore off, I was less impressed. Honestly, I've switched to chrome and simply changed the theme. This might change when ubuntu 11.04 comes around, as I thought I read somewhere that chrome (and chromium) doesn't support universal menus yet.

Also, I had to see if the default setup actually was crappy, as apparently mine was already modified. I had to find a hidden folder and delete it, as even removing and reinstalling firefox kept all of my settings. Silliness. Anyways, the default setup is indeed ugly, and is only made pretty again by modifying it to my tastes.

Chrome (and chromium I suppose) needed a color change, but was otherwise pretty clean and elegant for a browser by default.

I'm on the other end of the spectrum. The new UI actually has improved my productivity and made it a bit prettier (and made far better use of Stylish, greasemonkey, and Personas compared to the last version). The speed improvements as well as better tab organizing has made things particularly more enjoyable. The menu bar (thanks to the addon that makes the button movable) being gone and a little extra buffer space from the toolbar also makes it aesthetically and functionally more enjoyable. Then again, I have my tastes and methods to my madness.

Spoiler: But still... (click to show/hide)

EDIT:
Didn't notice it changed it to jpg. I reverted it to png now. Picasa tends to be fickle about these things. I have to manually adjust the link to allow full-size, seeing as the option is gone or really limited. Also, apparently, it converts them into jpgs now. Provided I upload them in the format I want to use, I have to change it back into PNG or whatever I used before. PNG usually default what I upload.

@Ein
I use Default setting. Darkling for DF-based and that for these. Helpful for finding the right thread in the tab layouts (far right from the tabs). Especially since I have all sorts of threads and boards open at the same time when I make my sweeps. It also reminds me there are different styles, and if I come up with something creative for a post or a sig, then I design for them. Like with the Bloodfist sprite I made. Daytime with that theme, Mario-like nighttime in Darkling.

Dat jpg compression and you don't use darkling?
Quite honestly, I'm surprised.

Heh, been awhile since I've seen the default color/theme of the forums. I prefer the dark theme, old eyes and all.

I prefer the default theme. I feel that it fits the mood of the forums (darkling for DF, normal for everything else).

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Well, I've found something I officially hate more than the jigging link popup.

Jump to tab.

WHAT.
THE.
FUCK.

Why am I suddenly not allowed to open up more than one window of the same page without having to go through contortions to do so? Is this "feature" something people actually appreciate? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to disable it? I know I can hold alt, supposedly, but it seems to work inconsistently.

Also it works. Although, it opens the page in new window, not new tab... Gah D:

In windows XP, if you hold down the shift key for too long (over 2 or 3 seconds), it asks you if you want to activate stickykeys. I don't know what its supposed to do, but whether you accept or decline, it screws up your computer in several ways. Fun!
