There wasn't a "cautiously optimistic" option on the poll.  I approve of anon and approve of the methods they use, but not wholeheartedly.  Call them basement dwellers and prats but I think that it's better to be running around doing random crap then sitting on your ass and doing nothing.  The world needs more protests of messed up crap, not fewer.  Still, I don't know anon all that well, maybe I'll end up disappointed by where they go next.

I thought they did make good on at least some of their threats - I seem to recall several sites being DDoSed, including major credit card providers.

They have every right to be butthurt about the way the government is treating the wikileaks thing, as they are very much for freedom of speech and freedom of information. Don't see anything contradictory in this.
