What is your opinion of Anonymous and their work?

I'm all for them and fully support their work
I support their cause, but dislike the methods used
Unsure / don't really care
I think they're just a bunch of bored kids
I'm against both their methods and cause
I think they're criminals / terrorists
Who?  (lol)

And there are a lot of people with totally unsecured networks. It's not like finding one is hard.
And it isn't just unsecured networks either. Some people think merely setting it to password protected is enough... without bothering to change the password from 'admin.' In a residential area which isn't tech-savvy, chances are you can find at least one with the password 'admin' without even crossing the street.

I don't even have to leave my desk to find an unsecured network or one where the PW is still admin.

The reason I mentioned cruising the street looking for one is that I'd imagine it ill advised to illegally use someone else's wifi to do something illegal while at home. I'm not sure how easy it is to trace this kind of thing but I'd imagine it was possible if you always did it in the same area or even through the same network. Couldn't they trace you much like a pirate radio station? If so doing it from a vehicle and from different locations would be safer.

About Anonymous.

My feelings about them are mixed. I support them when they threaten and sometimes DDoS filters, but I dislike it when they act like little children and threaten people because they (the person whom insulted someone, not Anon) insulted someone. (that's happened, right?)

Anon is a very very very loose collective. Any idiot could do anything, put a mask and call himself anon.

But so far, a few of them have done very commendable things.

That's completely false. All you need to do to become an anon is have internet access. No mask needed! (except proverbial, of course, but we're all obviously doing that even now as we're using usernames)

What baffles me is that this is a fact present many places, and there are people (including the news media, occasionally) that still think they're a genuine organized crime group.

Whenever I sound overly aggressive, you can usually be guaranteed I'm being at least mostly facetious.
