Original text:

"Not so fast JC, the troopers shoot on sight."

...50 translations later Google gives us:

"Damascus has become."

This thing really hates Alex Jacobson.

Edit:

Original text:

"I have had sexual intercourse with your mother!"

...50 translations later Google gives us:

"ผมมีเพศสัมพันธ์กับแม่ของเขา!"

The first thing the translator tought me was that "cogito ergo sum" is Norwegian. Then I openend the google translator, which told me it wasn't Norwegian but Spanish and means "cogito ergo sum" in English...

"I think therefore I am"
=> "So I think my idea."

"Proletarians of the world unite!"
It went well for quite a long time, around 30 translations, but then:
"Children of the underworld in the world!"

"The cake was a lie."
=> "This is a game"

"The death of bin Laden marks the most significant achievement to date in our nation’s effort to defeat al Qaeda."
=> " Heavy-Obama loss will find their way to death "and" organization to win."

...50 translations later Google gives us:

"Free-throw percentage points."

Poor NSF guy.

Edit:

Watch out for the karikan, though."

...50 translations later Google gives us:

"Good looks."

Karikan safety is alien to these people.

What does that even mean?

Original text:

...56 translations later Bing and Google give us:

Schwarz, as in Schwarzkopht? At least the translator knows that us Black Metallers must keep our hair as nourished as SATAN.

I have something to ask of you. I know it is a big task, but I need you to translate this message fifty six times, in random languages, and produce this exact same message again. It will not be easy, but if anybody can do it, you can.

Quote
I tell you something. I know this is a wonderful thing, but I'll translate the warning, the language exactly 56 times the same message again. It is not easy, but if anyone can do this, please.

Quote
I tell you something. I know this is a good thing, but again the language of the warning, the exact same message 56 times to transfer. It is not easy, but if someone can please

Quote
I say something. I know it is good, but the language, for the exact same warning 23 hours. It is not easy, but if anyone wants to.

Quote
We have also, but it is a warning that you know that exactly the same language. It is easy, but if you are a person that you want.

The more translations, the more chance to stumble on a word that a translation program misspells, thereby condemning all the following translations to keep that word as it is, no matter what language it's written in.

Those texts actually make sense (well, kind of... try running them through google translate). I don't know why it fails to translate it to english.

I've been throwing some random quotes at it (most taken from BrainyQuote) to see what kind of atrocities it comes up with.

"Energy equals mass times the speed of light squared."

...40 translations later Bing and Google give us:

"Two percent of energy meter."
(Clarification: The Gurren Lagann energy meter. Yes, the first and smallest one.)

"When beggars die there are no comets seen; The heavens themselves blaze forth the death of princes."

...40 translations later Bing and Google give us:

"Coupable, you can look at the death of my son."
(Coupable is a mistranslation from haitian. The line translated from Arabic read "The culprit, you can look into the death of my son.")

"A soldier will fight long and hard for a bit of colored ribbon." - Napoleon Bonaparte

...40 translations later Bing and Google give us:

"Men suffering heart, hard"
(What kind of lame power problem is heart, anyway?)

"Mankind must put an end to war before war puts an end to mankind." - JFK

...40 translations later Bing and Google give us:

"Before the war, I know the man who stops the movement of people."

"The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his."

...40 translations later Bing and Google give us:

"There is no campaign itself. The second part of the dead"

"The release of atomic energy has not created a new problem. It has merely made more urgent the necessity of solving an existing one."

...40 translations later Bing and Google give us:

"Is nuclear power in the new instrument. However important too."

War does not determine who is right - only who is left."

...40 translations later Bing and Google give us:

"War is not the law."
(Short and to the point)

Best one yet:
"Auto racing is boring except when a car is going at least 172 miles per hour upside down."

...40 translations later Bing and Google give us:

"But in the first year is an outstanding teacher Pansy C 172"
(What. The. Fossil. Bonus points for the teacher called Pansy.)

Oh my God:

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
=> Equity, thirst, hunger and desire to preserve it.

They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
=> This is what the patient needs.
=> What is the patient.

It is more blessed to give than to receive.
=> It takes more than that is a blessing.
=> Lasts longer than a blessing.
=> It takes more than love.

You shall not kill.
=> You know, pull.

You shall have no other gods before Me.
=> You do not have another goat for me.
=> You should not limit me.
=> I'm not limited.

Kindness is a mark of faith, and whoever has not kindness has not faith.
=> Well, do not know the faith and confidence can do.
=> We can not be trusted.

Fear Allah and treat your children fairly.
=> Fear God and children.
=> Fair Lady.
=> Lady of my work.
