Lost in translation
« on: March 21, 2011, 10:40:03 pm »

http://www.cheatingtranslators.com/bad-translator is a cool little site that allows you to quickly run a phrase through google translation multiple times.  Try it with lyrics or cool quotes and post anything cool that crops up (not neccessarily the last translation) :)

Alright, I've got it. Feeding it normal sentences gives us gibberish, so in theory...

Quote from: Total Fucking Gibberish
Is kin see eggplant carbine for cinders absolute krab syphon, as do best.
Quote from: ...it actually sort of worked.
Access to absolute zero eggplant, Chrome rifles and family members.
Quote from: It makes even more sense with futher translations! I was sort of right!
Migrant vorkers and their families, agent of each type of weapon.

Alright, so it doesn't make total sense, but there actually appears to be a meaning to the sentence, while the starting statement did not.

So what if you can see the darkest side of me

Help me believe it's not the real me
Somebody help me tame this animal!
This animal, this animal

OUT:

"Dark forces to bring about change, he said it was too expensive to house and animals."

EDIT: Oooh... Another good lyrics one.
IN:
Quote
'cause I want it now
I want it now
Give me your heart and your soul
And I'm breaking out
I'm breaking out
Last chance to lose control
OUT:
Quote
Hands, hearts and souls have lost the last chance for love.
It makes a creepy sort of sense.

Decided to run some Nightwish by this to see what it turned up.
Quote
If you read this line, remember not the hand that wrote it
Remember only the verse, song-maker's cry, the one without tears
For I've given this its strength and it has become my only strength.

End translation:
Quote
"If you read this line, do not forget to write poetry in hand, we should remember, the sun, songs, trademark manufacturer, no tears, because I have the power of information technology, it is my only strength."

Apparently turned the lyrics from the craft of poetry to that of hacking.

Coldplay:

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered my castles stand

Apparently I live in the walls of a cone named Suzuki.

Ending:
Quote

???
Quote
"Nate (March) skin, you know, during the Siege, but not."
