Wait, there were feudal socialists/communists?

Feudalism and socialism somewhat contradict one another.  The closest you can come to is the concept is noblesse oblige, the idea of responsibility by the rulers for the ruled.  In a full acceptance of that ideal, the aristocracy would be servants to the greater needs of the demesne as a whole, working to guide, regulate and lead their subjects to the best advantage of all.

Needless to say, history has proved that most aristocrats (be they landed hereditary nobility, financial oligarchs, elected politicians or entrenched bureaucrats) have failed to live up to that social contract.  Though this is perhaps a failing of humanity, not of the ideal.

There is a small bonus to raiders or pirates from blocking a trade route, mostly by charging smugglers to get goods through.  It is nowhere near as much as the trade income the player factions would receive from the route.

((I sure as hell they are. I really feel like I must have run over Iituem's puppy by moment.))

I'll be honest, you've forced me to stretch Bob's resources to his limit.  Which is exactly what he was meant to prompt, really.  I didn't anticipate you drawing cash and tech support from other players like that, so well played.

Thus the next attack from NPCs is going to be that much bigger.

Heh. I highly doubt ol Bob is out for the count. And if he is, maybe he needs a safe port o'harbor. Someone not in the New Empire, and not inclined to give him up for a pat on the back and some goodwill.

Hmmm .... how many NPC Pirate, Raider, Etc. groups are there that we know of ( I don't count CG as a raider group I think of him more as a Merc Company )

Well let me see here. So far we've seen, the Dread Pirate Roberts, summoned forth from somewhere to wage mighty war upon our trade routes.."
And CG, and his merry band of raiders, who will also im sure, cut our trade at some point. But thats all we know of. I imagine Iituem will keep groups like that to a minimum (perhaps no more than 2 active at a time) as he must govern them.

Im sure i will, at least out of boredom if nothing else at some point

But as was stated, I'm not an NPC, i don't count for that. I doubt more than 1 NPC at a time would be out since Iituem has more pressing matters like our turns to take care of

I know of at least one more challenge he has for us, but it sounds latter game, and quite frankly I am not sure if I am allowed to tell you guys. I don’t think the GM would care, considering the joking tone in his message, but better safe than sorry right?

Heh. Anything serious and requiring us all to pull together and put aside our petty differences, Would be -best- placed after diplomacy has decayed horribly, we all have vicious grudges against all the other surviving players.
I suspect many a thing. Demons from the depths of the earth, Extraplanar tears due to our magical experiments, The return of the Grand Wizard as a Lich of some variety..

Tread cautiously, for Iituem has demonstrated he has a deep bag of tricks to use to strike at us.

In the meantime, I'll just sit here, and make plans against the coming darkness. Cause well, its coming. May as well put out a spread.

You're right. It will never possibly happen. I can totally let my guard down about that.
..Or I'll just sit here growing ridiculously wealthy off my slavery, and laugh at you all for not doing the same. Possibly while doing something else of moral dubiousness.
