Okay, I'll be more specific: Healing one's soul or ripping it apart.

Hell of a lot of posts in here about how i'm a terrible person and shouldn't be trusted. I haven't backed out of a deal yet. I'm hurt by this line of talk...

I'll trust you if this happens: If somebody goes insane with Necromancy and raises an undead army and you side with the others to fight them off. Either that or you begin a rebellion against a particularly deadly player.

I have no particular aversion to a CONTROLLED undead horde...i also have no aversion to being paid to slit the throat of their controller.

Well, I trust you to do what I pay you too do. And on a personal level I like you. But I sure as heck do not trust you to not screw me over if some one pays you too.

...Right, I may need to secure the upper parts of Cauldron and maybe secure any places with Game animals to prevent people riding Dire Wolves.

Late Summer, 1006

Deals have been made, cancelled, remade, exchanged for new deals...I swear the political temper of this world is more unstable than a McBrent trade route. No one seems to know what they want or who they want to suffer. Some days I swear that this crusade is going to be more trouble than it's worth, but the freedom we'll have on that final day will be glorious. On that day we shall celebrate, invite all our previous backers and try so very hard to not poison them all for the annoyances they caused in the process helping us achieve our victory.

I can't wait for the coming seasons. The results of many deals will come to fruition and with that the fallout others have so kindly paid for me to arrange will be seen. There are some days I almost feel bad for the way we do business, but then I remember that if it weren't for us, they would simply be paying each other for the same services. Having us around just helps facilitate things because we owe no allegiances to any empires, New or Old. Without us, they would have to work harder to get their subterfuge, sabotage and assassinations done and for a higher markup. We're cheap and convenient, loyal only to the words in our deals and the coins in our pockets.

It's good to be free...

Funny how you bring up the topic that you tried to end.

And I have a greater chance then you may believe. And I have been planning on a diplomatic Empire.
Cript had no good reason to invade. Who would support a man for attacking a peaceful nation without any good reason?

I hate to point that, but he has a pretty good reason: since you claimed most of Northwestern Imperia, he had no choice to expand bu to attack you or Taricus. And since Taricus is his BFF...

There were plenty of more paths to take. He had a great number of choices. He could've invested in his money and made himself an ecomoic power. He could've gotten more invovled in world poltics, and became a political power. He could've went far into the resreach tree and become a scientific power. And there were many more choices. But out of all of them, he chooses the one of war and pain.

He had a choice. And the choice did not have any good reason.
